Following up on previous training on "Guidelines for Trauma-Sensitive Media Coverage," GCMHP conducted specialized training for journalists at the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate, aiming to enhance media practices that support mental health.
This training, part of the activities of the Technical Working Group for Mental Health and Psychosocial Support, in cooperation with the World Health Organization (WHO) and GCMHP, focused on strengthening journalists' skills in handling the stories and experiences of those affected and survivors, while preserving their dignity and privacy and being sensitive to their psychological state.
The training also covered a number of professional guidelines and practices that contribute to reducing the risk of re-traumatization or causing further psychological harm, and reinforce the media's role in reporting events responsibly and humanely.
