GCMHP conducted and awareness session for men in displacement camps, titled "Psychological Resilience and How to Enhance It," was attended by 21 men and was part of a series of community-based psychosocial interventions implemented by GCMHP. The aim was to enhance participants' understanding of the concept of psychological resilience and its role in coping with various pressures and crises, as well as to develop their ability to adapt positively to life's challenges that may affect their psychological and social stability.
The session focused on defining psychological resilience as the ability to adapt and withstand difficult circumstances and deal with them with flexibility and confidence, while maintaining psychological balance and the ability to continue living positively. It also highlighted the factors that contribute to building psychological resilience and its importance in promoting mental health and personal well-being.
The session also addressed a range of practical skills and strategies that help enhance psychological resilience, such as positive thinking, developing self-confidence, building social support networks, and developing problem-solving and decision-making skills.
