Gaza Community Mental Health Programme held a Technical Meeting with the Consortium of Donors
Gaza Community Mental Health Programme (GCMHP) held a technical meeting with the consortium of donors. The meeting included representatives of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), the Representative Office of Norway in the Palestinian Authority, in addition to the Consulate General of Sweden in Jerusalem via videoconference. Dr. Yasser Abu Jamei, Director General of GCMHP and a number of GCMHP heads of departments and units attended the meeting highlighting the current professional plans and issues in the Gaza Strip
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Abu Jamei, welcomed the participants, stressing on the importance of the cooperation with the consortium of donors. He highlighted the difficult political, social, and economic conditions that the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip are experiencing recently and their psychological impacts.
On his turn, Mr. Housam Manna', Projects' Manager at SDC and the Coordinator for the consortium of donors, thanked the Programme and the staff for their great efforts and accomplishments in the year 2017.
Moreover, the Programme's staff highlighted a number of professional and technical issues; they discussed the Programme's emergency intervention plan for the Great Return March events.
At the end of the meeting, the donors praised the Programme's hard efforts and promised to fulfill all their agreements. Additionally, they agreed on continuing the professional and financial cooperation with the Programme so that the Programme continue providing its services for the Palestinian community.
